Research Thesis

The aim of the course is to help students to develop their thesis. Students prepare thesis aims, scope, main results and conclusions. During the course students are involved in discussions to help them prepare, discuss and improve their thesis.

Course is dedicated to exchange students who want to work on their thesis during exchange program.

Course is not finished with thesis defense.

Knowledge

Student:

- lists the sources necessary to prepare a thesis;

- characterizes the techniques of preparing theses.

Skills

Student:

- explains the rules of editing specialist texts in the field of biology;

- discuss on selected topics related to the field of biological sciences;

- selects methods and appropriate tools in the course of implementation of the subject of their thesis;

- prepares their thesis using the theoretical and practical knowledge gained in the course;

- uses various component data for the implementation of the subject of their thesis;

- presents the assumptions, aims and conclusions of the thesis,

- discuss conclusions of the thesis in the light of adequate scientific literature.

Attitudes (social competences)

Student:

- formulates opinions concerning the studied topic;

- is aware of the dynamic development of the studied discipline and its impact on society;

- understands the need for international cooperation in science.
