| Ogólne treści programowe: | (tylko po angielsku) The aim of the lecture is to provide students with an overview of Japanese culture and its evolution throughout history. The course will cover Japanese literature, art, film, and popular culture, interpreted in the broader context of cultural history. Special emphasis will be placed on the issue of foreign influences on Japanese culture and its impact on Western art and culture. |

(tylko po angielsku) The goal of the lecture is to provide the students an overview of the Japanese culture and its evolution during history. Japanese literature, art, film etc. and their development in the course of the history will be the main topics of the lectures and will be interpreted in a broader context of the cultural history. The course will also emphasise the question of the foreign influences on the Japanese culture and its impact on the western art and culture. General knowledge of world history and cultural history, ability to read and analyse scholarly texts in English, and readiness for advanced academic discussion at MA level. |
| Efekty uczenia się: |
(tylko po angielsku) Knowledge HS-2A_W01 – has advanced knowledge of the methodological specificities of cultural and art history and understands their place within the humanities. HS-2A_W02 – knows and understands the latest research trends and achievements in Japanese studies and cultural history, and can relate them to their own analyses. HS-2A_W03 – possesses in-depth knowledge of selected issues concerning Japanese culture and their relation to global cultural processes. Skills HS-2A_U01 – is able to independently formulate research problems concerning Japanese culture, apply appropriate methods, and present results within a broader humanistic context. HS-2A_U02 – can critically search, analyse, and select information from diverse (including foreign-language) sources. HS-2A_U04 – is able to prepare and present a logically structured written or oral work (essay, presentation) in accordance with academic standards. HS-2A_U06 – presents research results in oral and written form using specialist terminology. Social competences HS-2A_K01 – reflects critically on cultural identity, recognises the value of Japanese cultural heritage, and is able to popularise knowledge about it. HS-2A_K02 – collaborates with others in discussions, offering substantive contributions and respecting diverse viewpoints. HS-2A_K05 – understands the need for continuous learning and expanding horizons in the humanities. |
