Wymagania wstępne: | Knowledge of the basic concepts of chemical analysis. Using of the basic methods of calculation. Operates text editor and spreadsheet. |

Familiarization the students with the methods of sample preparation for analysis based on plant material (including chemical derivatization, homogenization, hydrolysis, extraction). Familiarization with specialized laboratory equipment used during the preparation of samples. |
Efekty uczenia się: |
After completing the course the student: - outlines workflow for different types of samples (16A-1A_W03,16A-1A_W07), - selects appropriate sample preparation procedure depending on the nature and type of the final analytical techniques (16A-1A_W07), - describes the construction and operates equipment used in sample preparation step for chemical analysis (16A-1A_U05, 16A-1A_U15, 16A-1A_W06, 16A-1A_W07), - develops, interprets and presents the results (16A-1A_U06), - works in group (16A-1A_K02). |

Treści kształcenia: | The topics of the classes include: * Safety rules for work in a chemical laboratory. * Uv-Vis spectrophotometry in analysis of biological samples. * Application of derivatization reactions for the determination of chemical compounds. * Homogenization as a method of grinding a solid sample (chickpea). * Influence of physical and chemical factors on the process of protein hydrolysis. * Influence of the fragmentation of the sample on the efficiency of solid-liquid extraction. * Application of solid phase extraction in samples preparation protocols (food dyes). * Tests at the beginning of classes, reports summarizing performed exercises and a test as a means of knowledge verification. |
