Short description:

Our civilization, in particular large companies have to cope with huge amounts of data. These are data from databases, data warehousing, and Web system and contain information, inter alia customer and manufactured products. The course aims to familiarize students with the basic techniques used in data mining. We will discuss methods of supervised and unsupervised learning, and market basket analysis. In addition, they discussed issues of processing large data sets.
Learning outcomes:

After doing the course, the student should:

E1.Knows and illustrates the basic concepts of data mining

E2. Knows the basics of the language used in machine learning

E3. Is able to discover associations in datasets.

E4. Uses basic clustering techniques.

E5. Knows and applies data classification methods
